Please note that Lifetime Maps does not meantime unlimited downloads.  As per the Garmin website, to clarify, you get 4 downloads per year.  Therefore, it would be wise to do it every quarter.  If you overlook this, you may be very disappointed to find out you can’t do it before an important trip.  The Lifetime Maps are only for the device you purchased and cannot used used with any other Garmin or GPS.  

The unit is not waterproof so it’s not a good idea to take to the beach or participate in water sports.  It also does not have a headphone jack in case you want to be discrete about listening to road directions.
